Jeff comes from a very musical family with his musical roots buried deep in the soil of the Phipps family tree.  His great grandad and grandad both sang and taught music in the churches of southern Kentucky. Jeff's father played in church and the honky tonks most of his life and he kick started Jeff when he was just five years old on an old Gibson LG-O family heirloom which he still has to this day! He formed his first band when he was twelve.  Jeff wrote his first song at fifteen and has been performing and writing ever since! Jeff says; "I'm a husband/musician/songwriter/bar owner/maintenance man/janitor/accountant...Other than that who has free time?"

Jeff's band, the Big Daddy Band, rescently recorded this song for CMT's "Music City Madness" contest.  It is Jeff's original tune entitled "Take Home Pay".   This was shot and editing in just under a month with consumer level gear.  Let us know what you think!
